Intro to Indigenous Holistic Nutrition
Updated: May 17

As if you needed more information to overload your brain to learn what an Indigenous Holistic Nutritionist is and how one might be able to help you.
"I don't want to diet!" "I love how I look." "I have tried so many diets and nothing worked." "I refuse to change my diet."
Have you ever met a woman with Indigenous roots that encompass Curenderas, Shamans, and Witches?
No? Then I am the first and only human being you know whose lineage spans 3 Indigenous lines:
Bolivia: Cochabamba, La Paz, and Pando;
Columbia: Piapoco; and
Mexico: Mayan, Mixe, Mixtec, Pima, and Zapotec.
Breast Cancer's positive side effect on my and my family's life was for me to learn about my Indigenous past in nature and natural remedies. I refused to take Chemotherapy, Radiation, or Hormone Drugs and created my own 5-year plan to keep Breast Cancer from returning or metastasizing. My plan has had positive side effects for over 8 years now, and in the process I found a Holistic Nutritionist program that mirrored my exact plan. This launched me to help people who don't want "Standard American Care."
Indigenous Holistic Nutrition is about addressing various systems of your mind, body, emotions, and spirituality using the most natural means possible. The food and drinks you consume; the electronic data you consume; the commercials you consume; your quality and quantity of sleep cycles; do you have analog hobbies; do you exercise; do you read; do you daydream; do you socialize in-person; and do you have structured routines in the morning, afternoon, and/or evening?
According to ChatGPT
Indigenous Holistic Nutrition is an approach to food, health, and well-being rooted in the traditions, knowledge systems, and cultural practices of Indigenous peoples around the world. It goes beyond just “what you eat” and looks at how food connects to the land, community, spirit, and identity. This is different than Modern Western nutrition that often focuses on nutrients (carbs, fats, vitamins), dieting, and individual goals. Indigenous Holistic Nutrition instead centers:
Relationships (with land, people, ancestors)
Cultural meaning of food
Sustainability and respect
Food as part of healing systems
There are thousands of Holistic Nutritionists in the world, but how many have an Indigenous lineage of 3 countries full of Curenderas, Shamans, and Witches?
How to Get Started
We begin with an initial assessment so I understand limitations you might have: current health issues, family health issues, allergies, medications, level of activity, amount of healthy coping & stress management skills, and current lifestyle habits. Then we go here https://www.ultalabtests.com/partners/everchangellc to find blood tests or panels of health issues you would like to monitor. We pick out tests or panels together and you choose a blood draw location near your home or office. Just show up to the place with your paper order and be in and out possibly within 10 minutes, and you receive an email when the test results are in, which can sometimes be within 24 hours.
After the test results come in, we review them together and develop a reasonable and doable plan of action that will fit in with your everyday habits so the minor changes become lifelong habits. We connect on a weekly basis to see if tweaks need to be made, to gauge your amazing progress, to see if anything new can be incorporated in our plan, and then you repeat the initial blood tests to visually see the amazing progress you have made.
