I have always been drawn to nature, natural remedies and crystals. Growing up, I read so many books about the healing powers associated with various gem stones, as well as how to cleanse and program Quartz crystals to help me in life. One crystal I programmed was to help me win in track. In high school, I earned several Eastern Conference awards for long jump and 100-meter dash, in addition to winning 2nd place in the 300-meter hurdles at the Oakland County Freshman Championships in Michigan.

In Bolivia, to become a healing Yatiri witch in La Paz is a calling, not something you were born with. However, I personally feel like I was born with healing powers and that if I lived in La Paz, I would be professionally trained to be a Yatiri for our Indigenous community.

My husband and I have a huge collection of soap stone animals. I was drawn to them and whenever possible, I sought them out when we traveled. It turns out, that's a Yatiri thing at our Witches' Market in La Paz, Bolivia ~ https://www.atlasobscura.com/places/bolivia-s-witch-market

Here's an interview with a Yatiri ~ https://bolivianexpress.org/magazine-sub-item/970.

I love that I have Indigenous DNA from La Paz, Bolivia, and I identify as a Yatiri (except I don't sell Llama uteruses for good luck.
